This vehicle is my daily driver. For the most part I have been very pleased with the truck. The gas mileage is not very good. However, I don't think there is any vehicle ever made that offers the utility of the 4WD Suburban.

It will haul 8 people comfortably. For as heavy as it is, it is a great off road vehicle. It will tow almost 10,000 lbs. Although I have never tested this, it would more than likely do very well in an accident.

 Pros: Great utility, spacious, low cost of ownership

Cons: Gas mileage

There is a reason that the Mazda Miata has been named a Car and Driver’s 10 Best 6 times. The car is an absolute kick to drive. Guinness World Records states the Miata (MX5 as it know elsewhere in the world) is the number 1 selling sports car of all time. Part of this might be the price. But I think it really has a lot to do with the designing of the car. It is not a “cookie cutter” car that is made to look like a sports car. It is truly a sports car designed from the ground up.

I hated to sell this car. It was the best handling car I have ever owned. It is just hard to put car seats in a two-seater!

On an odd note, I sold the Miata to 70 year-old woman working through her third mid-life crisis. I have seen the car a couple of times since I have sold it. She is taking remarkable care of it.

Pros: Great handling, styling

Cons: Cramped, geared a little to low

I bought this car used. The Nissan Maxima is a very good car. Other than a rear power window switch, I never had a lick of trouble out of it. The Maxima was a great ride and was a rocket when you stepped on the accelerator.

The car met its untimely end at a traffic light. For as solid as the car was, it was no match for a full-size cargo van.

Pros: Comfort, speed, low maintenance costs

Cons: A little too much power for a FWD vehicle

I bought the Firebird while I was still in the Air Force. I bought it for $5700 from an airman that was deployed and had no use for it.

As crazy as it sounds, the Firebird was the most economical car I have ever owned. It was a typical GM and had lots of problems; however considering I was able to do most of the work on it myself, it really did not cost me very much to maintain the car. Furthermore, since I put well over 100K miles on the car and drove it for 10 years as my daily driver the overall cost of ownership was low.

Pros: Handling, power

Cons: poor craftsmanship
